The Laboratory for Experimental Anthropology, also called the Anthropo-Lab, is a research unit of ETHICS (EA 7446) at the Catholic University of Lille. The Anthropo-Lab was created with the aim to improve our understanding of the social facets of human behavior. Our interdisciplinary team theorizes, designs and conducts experimental studies in order to investigate the underpinnings of human cooperation (partner selection, intergroup helping or harming behaviors, institutional stickiness), the role of social information in the innovation process (social learning, group size and connectedness), and the impact of risk on social behaviors (social preferences, norm compliance). Furthermore, we use a wide set of behavioral experiments, ranging from laboratory and field experiments to large-scale incentivized online experiments, to improve decision-making in private and public organizations.
